Fresh off the release of his debut album The Chief , Jidenna is on the run in the video for his afro-trap ballad ‘Bambi’...

The cinematic clip opens with the dapper rapper, dressed in a cream-colored suit, sitting on a table at a park while drinking and reminiscing about the love of his life.

After sips from a flask, he takes off running through the streets of Lincoln Heights in L.A., while stopping to reflect on happier times with his girl. Then it’s back to running all the way to a church, where his ex (“CSI: Miami’s” Megalyn Echikunwoke) is getting married. As she and her new husband (“Insecure’s” Jay Ellis) walk out of the building, a drunk Jidenna tries to attack them.

As they drive off, he tries to chase the car down the street, but it’s too late. “Bambi” is the latest single off Jidenna’s debut album, which he describes as a “story of manhood.”
