Sharleen is 5 & Already Taking Steps to #BeatPlasticPollution

Sharleen Sofa

Sharleen Sofa is a grade 1 student of Aylward schools at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Nigeria. She has begun to take action in promoting the Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle of plastics as a way to #BeatPlasticPollution...

She is experimenting on using plastic bags for fashion purposes. She started by creating a very simple plastic cloth for her kid brother using a used plastic bag at home. Well to us, this is deep and very creative so we decided to share a story about her humble beginning right now.

We believe as she watches her dad use plastic caps and bottles to make bill board ads, she decided to start taking personal action to beat plastic pollution using fashion as a platform.

Imagine a Nigeria were 90% of our kids at her age today, are naturally engaging in taking actions to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle ♻ plastics in our society. Imagine the future of Nigeria in the next 30 years if this happens.
Cute Sharleen
We applaud her new path, and we wish her well as she joins her dad to help clean our earth using fashion as a platform to Beat Plastic Pollution.
