We hope, at this time of the year, when you are considering which charitable organizations matter most to you, that you feel confident and comforted in knowing that Cure Violence is helping to change the world through your donation.
Take a look at some recent achievements attributable to Cure Violence:
- A neighborhood of Harlem formerly accustomed to regular shootings celebrated one year with no gun violence. Read the story HERE.
- The John Jay College of Criminal Justice released evidence of big drops in violence. See the full REPORT.
- Another Cure Violence community goes a year without a killing – This time in Baltimore. Check out the NEWS CLIP.
- A restoration in state of Illinois funding, coupled with an increase in philanthropic funding, enabled our Chicago-based program to expand its services to 13 additional high-need communities, as well as another Level 1 Trauma Center partner hospital (totaling five) for the extremely effective Hospital Response initiative.
These are wonderful and affirming accomplishments. However, it is not enough, and Cure Violence remains committed to making its vision a reality; A world without violence.
You can help. Your tax-deductible donation of any size matters greatly and can be put to good use by Cure Violence. Please consider, in this time of giving, to join Cure Violence in saving lives and transforming communities.
With tremendous thanks and great appreciation,
