Ladies Circle International-a pro girl organization focused
on women empowerment, whose vision is to bring out the abilities of the
girl child across the world, make her understand her worth and help her
maximize her potentials founded by a young passionate girls right
advocate- Ayo Bello. LCI hosted her annual debate and quiz competition for
primary and secondary school girls in Obafemi Awolowo University Ife Central, Osun state, Nigeria
on 5th of March 2016 in honour of International Women's Day with over
100 young women in attendance...
The idea of the event was to promote quality education for girls, celebrate the feminine gender and foster synergy among schools.

There were 4 primary schools and 2 secondary schools in attendance to debate on the following topics:

-Sunshine Nursery and Primary school (support)
-OAU staff school (oppose)

The secondary schools engaged in an oratory contest
*Misty Gee College- "Child marriage, a route to independence"
*Glorious Heritage College- "Women Labour Force Participation, a plus to Nigeria's economy"

After an intensive scrutiny by the panel of judges which consists of

Kingdom heritage model school emerged the winner with 95.5 points,
Sunshine Nursery and Primary school-2nd with 95.3 points
OAU staff school- 3rd with 89.5 points
Ayo Success school-4th with 75.8 points

For the Secondary category,
Glorious Heritage College emerged the 1st place winner with 97 points
Misty Gee College- 2nd with 90.5 points

In furtherance to celebrating the female gender, best oralists from the primary and secondary schools were recognized.
Shuaib Habiba, 9years, of Sunshine Nursery and Primary school was the best
oralist for the primary category as a result of her eloquence, active
participation and content. This also applies to Ariyo, Heritage of
Glorious Heritage College who emerged the best oralist for the Secondary
school category.
