INTERVIEW: "FILM MAKING IN GHANA SO FAR IS THE BEST" SAYS GHANIAN TOP MOVIE PRODUCER, MR ENOCH ATAKORAH.

Swagg News Africa had a brief interview with one of the top successive film makers in Ghana. This is what he got to tell the world about himself and Gollywood.  Enoch Atakorah is 100% SwaGG approved.

Q: Who is Enoch Atakorah?
A: Enoch Atakorah is a very young dynamic film maker who uses film as a tool to address social vices in our day to day life .

Q: Can you tell the world what film making looks like in Ghana?
A: Film making in Ghana so far is the best when it's come to sound environment, the crew, and the cast. They are very encouraging and passion driven. For example, Hollywood was here in Ghana to film a block buster movie called” Beast Of No Nation” with Idris EIba...

Q: What inspired you to go into film making business?
A: Passion made me go into it. I have always admired the film making industry and the rate at which it's fast growing and contributing to the national quota.

Q: How many countries have you used for your film locations?
A: I have filmed in South Africa , Nigeria , Gambia, Togo, Kenya, and other countries.

Q: Would you call yourself a film producer, director, or an actor?
A: I am a film producer because that's my field and I know my work very well. I haven’t yet worked with all the big names in African cinema.

Q: How many movies have you produced, or directed? Could you list them for us so the world might know your works?
A: I have shot more than hundred movies and counting...
Namely:-
·         The game
·         The heart of men
·         Bed of roses
·         Sisters at war
·         Clean slate
·         Victims
·         Before noon
·         Smoking gun
·         Royal diadem
·         Government babes
·         Jackie goes to school
And many more...

Q: How would you describe Nollywood and Gollywood? What differentiates them? And what are their similarities?
A: Nollywood does mass production as compared to Ghollywood so as for me I think that's the only difference as to the movies, we all do equally the same kind of movies and all that.

Q: What do you feel is the greatest challenge of Gollywood, and how do you want to help contribute in solving these challenges?
A: Here in Ghana our major problem is distribution there seems to be a big problem with our movies when it comes to that, and piracy as well! If the government and corporate institutions can also help by supporting us in what we do, I think the industry will be the largest employer in the country.

Q: What is your definition of SwaGG?
A: SwaGG is someone who has got it all perfect life, and knows what time it is confident enough.

Q: How long have you been in the movie industry?
A: I have being in the industry for the past 8 years.

Q: What is your advice to oall Africa youths who are upcoming or have desire to be in the film making business but are discouraged or maybe having a hard time to get a break through?
A: My advice to the youth is they should never give up in life when they are denied they should fight hard till they get to their destination. God bless them all.

SwaGG: Thanks for your time sir. This is SwaGG News Africa with 2GG's, and never with 1G. Smell me? Neck up.
Enoch: Yeah!! Thank you too for having me. I am humbled.
