State, which means he is a hard core Jonathan loyalist. He went ahead to form
Orlu senatorial consultative assembly with the likes of chief Fidel Anushuo,
Eze Ilomuanya (chairman south east traditional rulers), Chief Chibuike,
Ambassador Mbadiwe. He was the founding father and legal adviser while they
were in Lagos. This body supported Udenwa as governor. He went ahead in
furtherance of Orlu interest to register Orlu’s people’s assembly in the East
with Chief Fidel Anushuo as the president. In essence, the emancipator is not a
new comer to Orlu politics.
Imo West is the largest senatorial zone in
Nigeria, made up of 12, LGA Imo west or Aka Orlu Zone. It is interesting to
know that the emancipator is the only person coming from Nkwerre zone under
PDP.
Historically, for several political years,
apart from Senator Dr Emezie, there has never been anyone from this zone that
is why the emancipator is coming out and his chances are high.
Also as regards sharing of political posts,
Nkwerre doesn’t have governor, deputy governor, minister or federal
appointment. None at all. Therefore, it is an opportunity to have our own now.
Orlu zone is basically a PDP zone, and
because they are not ready for opposition the people are not ready to send a
non PDP member to the national assembly. To further buttress the chances of the
emancipator the presidential election and the national assembly election will
hold on same day, so chances are PDP will carry the day.
