Kanye West and Kim Kardashian sue YouTube founder Chad Hurley because they say he leaked a video of their engagement party.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are reportedly suing YouTube founder Chad Hurley, according to tmz.com.
West and Kardashian are suing...
Hurley for unspecified damages because
Hurley posted a video of the couple’s proposal on his new venture,
MixBit. Hurley then released the footage along with a press release.
West and Kardashian say that Hurley was looking to capitalize off
their engagement after failing to match YouTube’s success with other
ventures, as per tmz.com.
In the lawsuit, Kardashian and West also say that Hurley was not
invited to the event, according to tmz.com. The site also reports that
Hurley was allowed to stay after agreeing to sign a confidentiality
agreement. The couple have an image of Hurley holding the contract,
according to tmz.com. The image is reportedly a part of court documents.
“Hurley proceeded to try to turn the event into one starring himself,
broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of
someone else,” the couple say, as per tmz.com.
The proposal may still be released for audiences. According to the
lawsuit, the footage was meant to go to MC Cable Television, an arm of
Bunim/Murray and E!, the network that houses “Keeping Up With The
Kardashians,” a reality television series based around the Kardashian
family. The show has featured Kanye West in the past.FOLLOW SWAGGNEWS BOSSES @pocarlee @swaggnewsglobal
