Introducing Lola Rae!!

BRITISH/NIGERIAN RISING STAR LOLA RAE UNVEILS DEBUT SINGLES,
“HIGH” featuring BRIDGE (L.O.S) & “WATCH MY TING GO” Introducing 21-year old British Nigerian singer, songwriter and rising Pop star LOLA
RAE – real name Rachel Funmilola Garton – with her excellent debut singles, the
sultry smooth “High (Wanting More)” which features BRIDGE from L.O.S and the
massive Afrobeats club banger “Watch My Ting Go”.
After impressing none other than Simon Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent back
in
2010 and turning down an invitation to X-factor UK, Lola Rae is paving her own way
in today’s music landscape, starting with these two records that will literally knock
your socks off…
Produced by P2J, “High (Wanting More)” is a sultry mid-tempo R&B opus which
sees Lola Rae in flying form as she shows off her enchanting vocals and vivacious
lyrics over a resounding drums-led musical milieu with Bridge from L.O.S adding
that enthralling Hip-Hop edge to complement Lola Rae’s infectious R&B vibe and
make “High (Wanting More)” a very exciting collaboration.
“Watch My Ting Go” on the other hand, is an exceptional dance floor filler from the
21-year old who is also of Ghanaian heritage. Highlighting her versatility and the fact
that she can shine on an Afro Pop/Dance track as well as she does on an R&B/Soul
record, Lola Rae rides this P2J-produced Afrobeats backdrop to perfection, with her
lush flow, vocal performance and catchy wordplay.
Since the release of her two debut singles; ‘Watch My Ting Go’ and   ‘High’ ft Bridge (Of L.O.S.) Former Britain’s Got Talent semi- finalist  and new Afro-Pop artist, Lola Rae has created a buzz across the African music scene.

Lola Rae has received a great response post the release of both of her debut singles, gaining great coverage among some of African music’s top blogs and press.
Further more, in a recent interview with BBC Africa, Lola Rae’s  interview made history, having the highest hits ever for a non political  story (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world africa-20632154).

In addition, ‘Watch My Ting Go’ also premiered in Nigeria on Fade
Ogunro’s Liquid Lounge show on The Beat 99.9 FM alongside having it’s
first UK air play on DJ Edu’s BBC 1Xtra Destination Africa show.
