releases his 1st single in 2013 “Open Up”, following his splendid performance on the Terry Tha Rapman
featured single “Hold Sumtin” by Day9. The refreshingly talented rapper goes a
little raw & playful rendering bars in his native twi & pidgin English

ELINEE
Robert Awudey Mawuli aka Elinee is a Lagos
based Ghanaian rapper whose incredible skillz have been evident on
collaborations with Samklef, Magnito, Vector, Kaha, RicoSlim, Dammy Krane,
Tinny, Asaase Aban, Lkt, David Mel and a host of Nigerian & Ghanaian artist.
Formally known as Osinifor with the rap group
Ankonam Rebel, he emerged winner
of Mega-Rap King competition in Upper Volta Region where he hails from in Ghana
in 2001 and also coming 3rd in Nescafe African Revolution in 2005 with the
group.
In 2011, his wave making single “Trouble” featuring Ricoslim (now known as RIC Hassani) was produced by Samklef, it got
massive rotation on Nigerian and Ghanaian airwaves thus carving a niche for the
melodious-fast rapper.
In the wake
of the new dance Azonto in 2012, Elinee released a single titled “Azonto Dance”
which features award winning producer Samklef and Munir of TMG. The single went
ahead to top charts on radio and entertainment blogs from Nigeria to
the US. Later that year he teamed up with rapper Magnito on the mixtape remix
of Iyanya’s award winning pop single “kukere”, this generated massive love for the
twi-speaking rapper as the remix was loved like the original by fans, Dj’s and
O.A.P’s.
Elinee has been able to create a fine
blend of rapping in his native twi dialect and English, as well as adding a few
Nigerian languages to set his mark, this has gotten him that home grown love
which he currently enjoys as he never stops to thrill with his
versatility.
